ItsGiraffes is privately developed and supported through public donations. It is important that the software and services remain free for users, to ensure access where most needed. To support ItsGiraffes learning initiatives, please contact learn@itsgiraffes.com
No. The software is ad-free, and does not contain any means or incentives to spend money or purchase products. Any retail products associated with the ItsGiraffes brand (e.g. clothing) may be licensed and purchased separately, but will not be advertised or available through the software.
Math content currently follows contemporary curricula and concepts for children in the USA. While puzzles and fun challenges in the software can entertain users of all ages, the core principles particularly target learning requirements for ages 7-10. Content is reviewed by professional public educators to ensure it is appropriate and sufficient.
Unlike traditional quiz-focused software, ItsGiraffes seeks to promote positive associations with math and learning. The software does introduce direct concepts, vocabulary, and learning methodology in mathematics. However, the true value in the experience will likely come from positive associations and experiences developed over several weeks or otherwise repeated exposure to the provided content.
Yes, content is regularly reviewed, revised, and added to, in response to feedback from students and educators. Where possible, content is added to with new characters, experiences, and puzzles, rather than replaced, to ensure favorite interactions and lessons are preserved.
ItsGiraffes is currently focused on further development and distribution of its initial software offering, also titled "ItsGiraffes". Only one version of the software is maintained, but this may be available in different installation packages, due to regional translations and the desire to make distribution and installation as fast and easy a possible. Further software offerings are planned, but will not be available in the immediate future, and/or may be incorporated into the current ItsGiraffes software.
